New York Attorney General Letitia James said her office would step away from its role in four federal lawsuits involving the officers who are accused of involvement in the videotaped December beating death of Robert L. Brooks at Marcy Correctional Facility in Oneida County. Those actions are unrelated to the beating of Brooks.
