New York’s top court formally removed former state Supreme Court Justice Erin T. Gall from office on Thursday, following the judicial conduct authorities' conclusion that she engaged in a “racially offensive, profane, prolonged public diatribe outside a high school graduation party” in 2022.

Gall, who had served in Oneida County, is now ineligible from ever serving on the bench again, based on her ouster by the New York Court of Appeals, which was a formality, given Gall's recent resignation. Gall had already started another public job, as Herkimer County's assistant attorney.
