Approximately 1,430 attorneys are at risk for suspension for failing to register and pay the $375 licensing fee. Attorneys have until Feb. 16 to submit proof of compliance.

Attorneys admitted to practice in the State of New York are obligated to register biennially with the Office of Court Administration and pay a licensing fee in the amount of $375 to that administrative office pursuant to Judiciary Law Section 468-a, or certify that they are retired from the practice of law.
First Department Attorneys who are in default of the statute risk suspension and have until February 16, 2025 to cure their defualt by submitting proof of compliance.
