The sentencing of President-elect Donald Trump on his 34-count criminal business records conviction moots his pending state and federal appeals, prosecutors with the Manhattan District Attorney's Office argued in new filings.
In the days before his Jan. 10 sentencing, Trump’s defense counsel filed two emergency applications with the Appellate Division, First Department. One was an Article 78 petition, and the other an application for interim relief seeking an immediate stay.
