Law firm partners are so careful. They advise their clients to “read every word,” then reread every word themselves. And, just to make extra sure, usually some time after midnight when no one is looking, they double check every word yet again. Typos, grammar, pagination, the whole “nine yards:” Nothing escapes the watchful eye of a neurotic law firm partner.
Yet, stick a law firm partnership agreement under the nose of these cautious individuals and what happens? In an instant they take out their pens, close their eyes and sign away. Do they read the agreement? No.
