Alexander D. Forger yesterday parried attacks on his credentials to testify on professional standards for trusts and estates lawyers as the criminal trial of Anthony D. Marshall, the son of socialite Brooke Astor, closed out its 16th week.
Under cross-examination by Mr. Marshall’s lawyer, Frederick Hafetz, Mr. Forger acknowledged that there are no statutes or rules setting forth standard practices for estates lawyers.
