A man who strangled the mother of his daughter while the little girl watched has been barred from any contact with the 9-year-old girl until she turns 18.

In issuing an order of protection in Matter of K.S. v. B.S., V-XXXX-09, Family Court Judge Michael L. Hanuszczak (See Profile) in Onondaga County ruled that it was “undisputed” that the father, Brian T. Shaw, was “convicted not only for the death of the mother but also for endangering the child,” who was 4 at the time of the killing.

The Onondaga Family Court decision will be published tomorrow.
