ALBANY – A federal jury yesterday found Joseph L. Bruno guilty of two felony counts of theft of honest services for accepting payments from a close business associate while Mr. Bruno was Republican majority leader of the state Senate.

The jury found Mr. Bruno, who retired from the Senate in 2008, not guilty of five other counts and could not reach a decision on the eighth count of the indictment, all for corruption related to trading on his position as the most powerful member of the Senate.
