Loeb & Loeb said yesterday that it had expanded its New York and Washington, D.C., offices with an eight-lawyer energy practice from Day Pitney. Partners Frank Lee and Greg Blasi will join Loeb’s New York office. Partners Richard Lorenzo and Jay Matson will help open up a Washington office for 300-lawyer Loeb. Four other lawyers are joining in non-partner roles.

Co-chairman John Frankenheimer said in a statement that the group’s energy practice would fit well with Loeb’s work for Chinese companies, including a number of energy-focused ones looking to raise capital in the United States. “These additions further position our firm for opportunities within China’s rapidly evolving and diversifying energy sector,” he said.
