The Commercial and Federal Litigation Section connects New York’s leading commercial litigators with one another and with the judges deciding their cases, in order to improve the quality of representation of clients, provide a forum for further development of law and procedure in the areas of commercial and federal litigation, and enhance the administration of justice.

We try to fulfill our mission by organizing gatherings of lawyers and judges, including our annual and spring meetings, sponsoring numerous MCLE programs and issuing reports on important commercial and federal litigation topics. Our 30 active committees and long history of bench-bar collaboration have produced results that have had a significant impact on commercial litigation practice. The creation of the Commercial Division and the promulgation of civility guidelines for New York lawyers are two examples of what our section has accomplished during its 21 year history.
