Kansas City, Mo.-based Lathrop & Gage has renewed its lease and almost doubled its space at 230 Park Ave. The firm has 10 attorneys and 10 staff members, and plans to add five to 10 attorneys to fill the new space. Also, the Queens campuses of two closed hospitals - St. John's and Mary Immaculate - were purchased by an investment group led by Joshua Guttman for more than $26.6 million.

Lathrop & Gage, which bills itself as the oldest law firm west of the Mississippi River, has almost doubled its space at 230 Park Ave.
The Kansas City, Mo.-based firm renewed its lease for 11,400 square feet and added another 9,000. It will occupy the entire 24th floor for the next 12 years.
