The head of the global information technology practice at White & Case has resigned to join Latham & Watkins in New York. A spokesman for White & Case said that Steven Betensky would join Latham. Earlier this month, Latham & Watkins hired 13 partners from White & Case’s New York, London and Middle East offices.
Additional White & Case partners recently have departed for other firms. Allen & Overy last week hired Elaine Johnston in New York to head its antitrust practice. And the head of White & Case’s mining and metals practice, Tanneke Heersche, left the Johannesburg office to join Canada’s Fasken Martineau. — Nate Raymond
