ALBANY – A defendant accused of using his political influence to obtain state pension fund investments for clients insisted in court papers filed Wednesday that he cannot be prosecuted under a law intended to penalize economic fraud.
Attorneys for Henry “Hank” Morris, the one-time chief political adviser to former Comptroller Alan Hevesi, have moved to dismiss a 123-count indictment against Mr. Morris.
