Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani, the only Guantánamo Bay detainee to be moved into an Article III civilian court for terrorism charges, said yesterday that he may boycott his own trial.

Mr. Ghailani, the accused U.S. embassy bomber, told Southern District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan he would waive his right to be present at his trial because he objects to strip searches conducted at the Metropolitan Correctional Center before every court appearance.
