Harris Beach has launched a six-lawyer Long Island office as the firm moves to increase its presence in the tri-state area. The new office will be staffed with lawyers previously at Troutman Sanders in Manhattan and Jaspan Schlesinger in Long Island. The office will be Harris Beach’s 11th in New York state and comes two months after it launched one in White Plains.
James A. Spitz Jr., the chief executive officer of the 200-lawyer firm, said the new offices allow the firm to expand into the last remaining major economic areas in the state where it did not previously have a presence. “For the time being we’re pretty satisfied with our footprint, and we’ll be looking to integrate and grow in those areas,” Mr. Spitz said.
