Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp. was found liable yesterday for discriminating against women in pay and promotion and on the basis of pregnancy.
A jury of five women and four men found against the company on all claims and awarded the 12 name plaintiffs a total of $3.3 million in compensatory damages. It also determined that punitive damages should be imposed.
