A little known law focusing on the rights of military members in the workplace is receiving more attention as veterans return from wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. As a result of multiple deployments, more and more veterans and military personnel are facing high unemployment and hostile work environments.

Employers that have failed to properly train their management and human resources department in the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994 (USERRA) are vulnerable to costly and embarrassing military discrimination lawsuits.
