Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal and the U.K. firm Denton Wilde Sapte today announced they had reached an agreement to combine, creating a 1,250-lawyer firm that will have offices on four continents.

The combined firm will be called SNR Denton and will be co-led by Elliott Portnoy, the chairman of Sonnenschein, and Howard Morris, the CEO of Denton. Three-quarters of the partners will need to approve the merger during votes scheduled for June 9.
