A bitter tug-of-war over two boys who have spent their lives “ricocheting” between England and New York entered a new phase this week when a federal judge ruled that the boys’ father must return them to their mother overseas.

Felicia Haimdas, a British citizen, accused her ex-husband, Jagmohan Haimdas, of keeping the children in New York without her consent for the past two years and petitioned the court for the return of her 10- and 12-year-old sons pursuant to the Hague Convention.
