Bingham McCutchen expanded its energy and project finance practice in New York yesterday by hiring the co-chair of Fulbright & Jaworski’s global infrastructure group. Joel Moser, who joins Bingham as a partner, focuses on infrastructure investment and development. At Fulbright, he was lead counsel in the $1 billion financing of Citi Field, home of the New York Mets.
Mr. Moser said he made the move because Bingham’s “profile matches the trajectory of my practice.” Bingham has been in expansion mode both in New York and abroad. It opened a Frankfurt office last month. In August, it acquired McKee Nelson, which boosted the firm’s head count in New York to more than 200 lawyers. Linda Addison, the head of Fulbright’s New York office, said in a statement the firm wished Mr. Moser well.
