Campaign finance reports filed Friday showed Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice continued to lead the five Democratic candidates for attorney general in money on hand with $4.42 million. She was followed by Sean Coffey with $3.16 million, a sum buffered by a $1 million loan the former securities class action lawyer made to his campaign last month. State Senator Eric Schneiderman was next, with $2.2 million; followed by former State Insurance Superintendent Eric Dinallo, $1.6 million; and Assemblyman Richard Brodsky, $1.5 million.
Ms. Rice also ranked first in raising contributions since July 15, the reports show, with $619,144. Mr. Schneiderman came in second with $262,827, followed by Mr. Dinallo, $109,231; Mr. Coffey, $48,344; and Mr. Brodsky, $47,235. — Nate Raymond
