Boies Schiller & Flexner has struck back at an ex-client that had claimed in a lawsuit that star litigator David Boies had neglected its case.
In papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court on Friday, the litigation firm contended that it never guaranteed Mr. Boies could personally be lead trial counsel in G.K. Las Vegas Limited Partnership’s case. Complaints about Boies Schiller’s handling of the case only came as the firm sought more than $5 million in fees, a sum equal to a debt owed to a company creditor, Boies Schiller said in the papers.
