Two New York attorneys have been recommended to the White House for the Southern District bench. Katherine B. Forrest, a former litigation partner at Cravath Swaine & Moore who moved to the Justice Department in October, and Edgardo Ramos, a partner at Day Pitney, were recommended yesterday for open vacancies by Senator Charles Schumer.
Ms. Forrest is a graduate of New York University School of Law who began her legal career in 1990 at Cravath and specialized in antitrust and intellectual property on her way to making partner in 1998. She left the firm in October to work as a deputy assistant attorney general for Justice’s antitrust division.
