The legendary New York Helmsley Hotel at 212 E. 42nd St. is about to begin a new chapter.
Host Hotels & Resorts Inc. recently entered into a contract to purchase the simple title to the hotel for $313.5 million. The 775-room luxury hotel, between Second and Third avenues, is part of the multi-billion portfolio of the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust.
