Janet D. Callahan has been elected managing partner of Hancock & Estabrook. She is the first woman to be elected managing partner of a major law firm in Syracuse, and one of the first in upstate New York, the firm said in a statement.
Farrell Fritz partner Lyle C. Mahler has been appointed to the board of directors of the Long Island chapter of the Turnaround Management Association, a non-profit group dedicated to corporate renewal and turnaround management. Also, Farrell Fritz counsel Steven N. Davi has joined the advisory board of the Long Island chapter of Best Buddies, a non-profit working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
