Ira Sorkin, who last year represented convicted Ponzi schemer Bernard Madoff, confirmed yesterday that he is leaving Dickstein Shapiro to join Lowenstein Sandler.

Mr. Sorkin, the co-leader of Dickstein’s securities litigation and white-collar practices, will join Lowenstein along with another partner, Donald A. Corbett, and four associates. Mr. Sorkin will start at Lowenstein Sandler on Monday.
