ATLANTA – In a bid to mitigate the sentence former federal Judge Jack T. Camp Jr. faces on charges related to drug use with a prostitute, his lawyers have filed 46 letters—some from attorneys such as Bobby Lee Cook and Emmet J. Bondurant—attesting to Camp’s good character.

The letters were filed in federal court in anticipation of a March 11 hearing at which Camp could face a statutory maximum sentence of four years in prison, though sentencing guidelines also allow for zero time in prison.
