In checking in on the last Wolf Block partners making their way to new homes, we found ourselves visiting the Web sites of the soon-to-be-former firm more than a few times. That got us thinking about the online homes of other defunct firms. So we went in search of those former firms’ URLs and what, if anything, the remains of the sites tell us about how those partnerships wound down.

We looked at 13 unlucky firms, nearly half of whom still had active URLs. In organizing this list, we include the name of the firm, the dates it was operational, the headquarters location, a link to coverage of the firm’s demise, and details on Web site remains.
