Mark H. Alcott, a litigation partner at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, has won a contested election to become head of New York state’s 33-member delegation to the American Bar Association.
In a statewide contest where 36,000 ABA members living in the state were eligible to vote, Mr. Alcott, a former New York State Bar Association president, defeated Sharon Stern Gerstman, law clerk for Supreme Court Justice Joseph D. Mintz, who sits in Buffalo.
