The State Bar of California has closed its investigation of Juan Dominguez, the lawyer at the center of a judge’s finding that fraud tainted a lawsuit brought against Dole Food Co. on behalf of Nicaraguans who worked on its banana plantations.

“The State Bar has completed the investigation of the allegations of professional misconduct and determined that this matter does not warrant further action. Therefore, the matter is closed,” investigator William Graham Jr. wrote in a letter to Dominguez’s attorney dated March 1.
