A New York-based jewelry company has sued Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver Dez Bryant in a Dallas state district court, alleging Bryant has refused to pay for nearly $250,000 worth of jewelry he purchased. The company, Rafaello & Co., filed the petition on March 25, alleging breach of contract, among other things. “Despite written demand for payment, Bryant has failed and refused to pay, and continues to fail and refuse to pay, the amount due on the Account, and pursuant to the invoices,” according to the original petition in A+A Diamonds d/b/a Rafaello & Co. v. Desmond Demond Bryant.

“Rafaello & Co. is the owner and holder of the delinquent account. After application of credit and all the offsets, the amount of approximately $246,000.00, plus applicable interest, attorney’s fees, costs, and expenses is due,” notes the complaint.
