SAN FRANCISCO — The San Bruno gas line rupture last September killed eight people, injured 60 others and caused, by some estimates, $38 million of property damage. Now, the legal and regulatory repercussions are taking shape.
Pacific Gas & Electric Co. has been slapped with more than 60 injury and wrongful death suits and one shareholder class action in state court, all of which have been coordinated into one proceeding that will soon be assigned to a judge in San Mateo County.
