The U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee has released the financial disclosure reports of several recent judicial nominees, including a former antitrust partner at Cravath, Swaine & Moore. Katherine Forrest, who has been nominated for a Southern District slot, left Cravath last year to join the antitrust division of the U.S. Justice Department, where she is a deputy assistant attorney general. She disclosed a household net worth of $4.3 million, including zero debts and a $500,000 second home. She reported owning no securities, keeping all her savings in cash.
Another Southern District nominee, Edgardo Ramos, a partner at Day Pitney, reported a household net worth of $2.3 million, with most of the assets in savings accounts for retirement and college tuition. He reported income from Day Pitney of $249,509 in 2010 and $345,529 in 2009.
