ALBANY – The judges of the New York Court of Appeals yesterday peppered both sides in the $5 billion fight between bond insurer MBIA and a group of policyholder banks over MBIA’s 2009 breakup with tough questions at an oral argument as they grappled with the scope of the state’s Insurance Law.
