Plaintiffs suing Fannie Mae in D.C. federal court for alleged securities fraud took an indirect hit yesterday, as the Kentucky Bar Association’s Board of Governors voted to recommend disbarment of the class’ lead counsel, Stanley Chesley.

Chesley, a name partner with Cincinnati’s Waite, Schneider, Bayless & Chesley, Chesley is appealing the board’s recommendation to the state Supreme Court, which will have the final say, according to his attorney, Sheryl Snyder of Frost Brown Todd in Louisville, Ky.
