CINCINNATI (AP) — A prominent Cincinnati lawyer recommended for disbarment this week in Kentucky has been taken off a major Ohio lawsuit against mortgage giant Fannie Mae.

A spokeswoman for the Ohio attorney general’s office tells The Cincinnati Enquirer Stan Chesley has been suspended from overseeing the class-action lawsuit. Plaintiffs led by Ohio claim Fannie Mae manipulated its earnings to artificially pump up its stock price, harming investors including the state’s pension funds.
