A spokeswoman for Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine confirmed Friday that Stanley Chesley has been “suspended” as plaintiffs’ counsel in DeWine’s securities fraud case in Washington federal court against Fannie Mae.
The decision, which DeWine spokeswoman Eve Mueller said was made on Thursday, came one day after the Kentucky Bar Association Board of Governors voted to recommend Chesley be disbarred. Chesley is a name partner with Cincinnati’s Waite, Schneider, Bayless & Chesley.
