A Queens man deemed delusional six years ago when he accused his father-in-law of sexually abusing his wife will remain in a mental institution even though his wife now says she and her sister actually were abused.
Whatever the truth of the abuse allegation, it was “not relevant at this time to the central issue at hand,” said Queens Supreme Court Justice William M. Erlbaum (See Profile) in People v. D.S.D., Indictment number 707-2004. The judge concluded that 62-year-old “D.S.D.” was not fit for release and ordered that he be held in the Creedmoor Psychiatric Center in Queens Village for another year.
