Jones Day has added two lawyers to its banking and finance practice. Alice Yurke, who joins as partner from Ashurst, focuses on structured products, including equity-, credit-, hedge fund- and commodity-linked structures in both U.S. and offshore markets. Jonathan Ching joins as of counsel from the D.E. Shaw Group, a global investment firm where he served as a vice president and counsel. He focuses on structured products and their applications in trading and capital markets.

Farrell Fritz has added Christopher E. Kent as a partner in the land use, municipal and zoning practice group. Mr. Kent was chief deputy executive of Suffolk County since 2009. Before that he served for two years as Suffolk’s director of real property acquisition and management, and previously had his own law practice for more than 20 years, focusing on real estate, municipal, and environmental law.
