Federal prosecutors plan to challenge an appeals court’s decision vacating a man’s conviction for violating the trade embargo with Iran.
Southern District Assistant U.S. Attorney E. Danya Perry told Judge John F. Keenan yesterday that the government will go back to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and seek a rehearing by the panel that issued the decision or rehearing in banc in the case of Mahmoud Reza Banki.
