An Appellate Division, Third Department, panel has upheld the disbarment of an Albany attorney who used settlement money from a client for personal use for 3 1/2 years before depositing the funds into the client’s account.
The panel unanimously upheld the disbarment of John J. Kelleher for his handling of $60,000 in client funds beginning in April 2007. It found Mr. Kelleher, 42, failed to share the proceeds of a settlement with his client until November 2010.
