MATTER OF SHANA R. — A petition was filed by the Monroe County Department of Human and Health Services alleging that Shana R. left her placement at Hillside Children’s Center Group Home without permission and is a Person in Need of Supervision (“PINS”) as defined by Article 7 of the Family Court Act. Attached to the petition are two affidavits, one from Hillside employee Lori Canada and a second from Melva B. The affidavits state that Shana went to Ms. B.’s home for a visit on February 1, 2003, left the B. home without permission during the visit and did not return to Hillside as scheduled on the following day. The affidavits also state that Shana’s whereabouts were unknown to Ms. Canada as of February 26, 2003 and unknown to Ms. B. as of February 28, 2003.
