The office of the New York City Corporation Counsel has hired Candice Cho, a Columbia Law School student, as the first clerk in its new privately funded clerkship program, announced last fall. Ms. Cho expects to graduate from Columbia in May and begin a one-year clerkship in September.

Candice Cho

This will not be Ms. Cho’s first experience with the Corporation Counsel, as she was an extern in the spring of 2011. She was also an extern at the U.S. Department of Justice in fall 2011, a summer associate at Foley & Lardner in summer 2011, and a law clerk in the domestic violence unit of the San Francisco district attorney’s office in summer 2010. She worked full time for Senator Richard J. Durbin, D.-Ill., from September 2006 to August 2009, first as a legislative correspondent and then as a legislative assistant.
