Attorney Susan Brune and her colleagues at Brune & Richard insist they acted ethically when they declined to promptly tell a federal judge about their in-trial investigation of a juror who lied at voir dire about her identity as a suspended attorney.
In papers filed with Southern District Judge William Pauley III on April 6, attorneys for the Brune firm claim Brune and her co-counsel did not actually learn for certain that Juror #1 in the 2011 Jenkens & Gilchrist tax shelter trial was suspended attorney Catherine M. Conrad until the trial was over.
