Finding that allegations of undue influence were only “speculative,” a Brooklyn surrogate has admitted to probate the will of a man who left $250,000 to each of two administrators at the assisted-living home where he spent his last years.

“The evidence adduced at trial was entirely consistent with the claim advanced by Petitioners that Decedent decided that since he had no family, children or close friends, he would give his bounty to two individuals he cared for who showed interest in him and gave him some pleasure in the twilight of his life,” Surrogate Diana Johnson (See Profile) wrote in Estate of Ralph Besdansky, 520/2007.
