Plaintiffs who were promised training, union cards and construction jobs in connection with the Atlantic Yards project in downtown Brooklyn have beaten back a motion to dismiss their claims of deceptive practices against Forest City Ratner Companies and other defendants.
Eastern District Judge John Gleeson (See Profile) refused to dismiss allegations that the developers had falsely assured local residents that they would benefit from the development of residential and commercial real estate and an arena now nearing completion that will be the home of the National Basketball League’s Brooklyn Nets.
