The New York Public Library has reportedly sold several floors at its Science, Industry and Business Library at 188 Madison Ave. for $60.8 million. The 13-story city landmark building is located at East 34th Street and was once the site of the B. Altman Department Store.
The Church Pension Group (CPG), an affiliate of the Episcopal Church, has purchased five floors, the third through seventh floors of office condominium space, a total of about 140,000 square feet. Four of the floors were vacant and the remaining floor is due to be vacant by next year.
