Polsinelli Shughart has hired five lawyers, adding an intellectual property practice in the New York office. The new additions include three intellectual property litigators: Tedd Van Buskirk, formerly a partner at K&L Gates; Pamela Fekete, who was an attorney at Edwards Wildman Palmer and who worked in-house at GnuBIO; and Dillon Kim, a former associate at Hogan Lovells. All three join as shareholders. Their clients include pharmaceutical, medical device, biotech and other life sciences companies.

The firm also added Bernadette Herward Davida as a shareholder and Brooks Clark as of counsel. Davida focuses on commercial real estate law, while Clark concentrates on real estate and structured finance and property acquisition and development. Clark was a partner at Carter Ledyard & Milburn. Davida was a partner at Katten Muchin Rosenman.
