The New York Genome Center Inc. (NYGC) has signed a 20-year lease for 170,000 square feet, or seven floors, at 101 Avenue of the Americas, at Grand and Watts streets, in SoHo, as the site of its headquarters. The 23-story, 425,000-square-foot Sixth Avenue property, called “101AOA,” is owned by Manhattan-based developer Edward J. Minskoff Equities Inc.

The genome center, founded in 2010, is an independent nonprofit organization that works in collaboration with academic medical centers, research universities and commercial organizations to advance biomedical research and clinical care.
