ALBANY - New York’s highest court yesterday affirmed that the state attorney general has the power to oversee the privatization of a Mitchell-Lama housing project under the Martin Act, the state’s anti-securities-fraud law.

The Court of Appeals also decided yesterday that an insurance broker may be sued by a client for negligence and breach of contract for his failure to include in a policy the coverage the client requested.
